DEARNE VALLEYBolton Ings (SE4302) – 1 GREAT WHITE EGRET (presumably the bird seen moving S at Wintersett yesterday @ 12’35pm but different to the one seen fly east from Adwick Waslands mid-morning), 2 Mute Swan, 79 Gadwall, 22 Wigeon, 16 Tufted Duck, 8 Mallard, 6 Teal, 7 Shoveler, 4 Pochard, 2m+1f Goosander, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Little Grebe, 135 Coot, 1 Moorhen and 16 Common Gull. Also present were 6 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Kestrel, 2 Green Woodpecker, 4 Jay and 200+ Redwing (Alan Whitehouse and Ken Foundation per today’s BARNSLEY BIRD SIGHTINGS)

DEARNE VALLEYBroomhill Flash (SE4102) – 12 WHOOPER SWAN passed over east at 8.55am, 35 Pink Footed Geese passed over west at 8.35 am and a Peregrine was seen. Also present were 3 Mute Swan, 60+ Shoveler, 30+ Teal, 15 Wigeon, 14 Tufted Duck, 10+ Gadwall, 8 Mallard, 6 Cormorant, 1 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 5+ Snipe and 2 BH Gull (Alan Whitehouse per today’s BARNSLEY BIRD SIGHTINGS)
