STAINTON PIT TIP – 1 i WHITE-TAILED EAGLE flew NW at 10.40am; 1 WHEATEAR, 2 GRASSHOPPER WARBLER,. 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 15 Whitethroat, 12 Willow Warbler, 2 Yellow Wagtail (Jon O’Malley). A credit to working a regular patch, congratulations on yet another great find for the area Jon.

TORNE VALLEY – Rossington Pit Tip – 3 WHEATEAR and 1 Sedge Warbler (Stuart Churchill)

WENT VALLEY – Southfield Res (SE6519) – 1 (2cy/m) LONG-TAILED DUCK (AS), 1 Curlew, 1 Common Tern, 1 Swift, 2 Yellow Wagtail (Adrian Scutt, Rich Collis, Chris Robinson, Tina Langford and Danny Fardell). I understand per Rich Collis that this is the first LTD at the Res. and the District since 1999; it is believed to be the 8th District record of the species.
