Also present were 1 Cormorant, 1 Buzzard, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Jay and 1 Grey Wagtail (Alan Whitehouse per today’s BARNSLEY BIRD SIGHTINGS and John Seevior per Twitter)

POTTERIC CARR (SE5999, SE6099, SE5900 and SE6000) – 2 Shelduck; 104 Gadwall; 3 Teal; 7 Pochard; 18 Tufted Duck; 1f+5j Pheasant; 1 Cormorant; 3 BITTERN; 4 Little Egret; 1 Grey Heron; 3 Little Grebe; 5a+1j+3j Great Crested Grebe; 3 BLACK-NECKED GREBE; 1m+2f MARSH HARRIER; 6 Buzzard; 1p+js Kestrel; 2 HOBBY; 10 AVOCET; 2 Oystercatcher; 24 Lapwing; 5 Ringed Plover; 1 Little Ringed Plover; 2a+4vyj Redshank; 1 COMMON TERN; Black-headed gull – those on the tern raft cell 1b have all gone overnight, c.10 pairs with eggs or young (Mink or LBBG attack?).
