DEARNE VALLEY – Bolton Ings (SE4302) – 2+1j Mute Swan, 52 Greylag, 6 Canada Geese, 24 Gadwall, 12 Mallard, 15 Pochard, 10+6y Tufted Duck, 7 Little Grebe, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 121+5j Coot, 1+2j Moorhen and 11 BH Gull. Also present were 1 Cormorant, 2 Grey Heron, 1 LITTLE EGRET, 2 Lapwing, 2 COMMON TERN, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Whitethroat, 1 Blackcap and c30 Goldfinch (Alan Whitehouse per today’s BARNSLEY BIRD SIGHTINGS and John Seevior per Twitter)

DON VALLEY – Thorpe Marsh NR (SE5909Z) – 4 Oystercatcher, 24 Lapwing, 1 Kingfisher (Neil Shaw)
HUMBERHEAD PEATLANDS – Hatfield Moors area (SE7106D & SE6905X) – 12-14 used Grey Heron nests in the regular Heronry close to the Moors (Mark Paine).
WENT VALLEY – Southfield Res (SE6519) – 1s CETTI’S WARBLER in Willow scrub on southern bank, only second record for this site (Adrian Scutt and Clive Featherstone)
