DEARNE VALLEY – Adwick Washlands (SE4602) – 2 Pink-footed Geese, 104 Lapwing and 1m STONECHAT (Gary Haywood per Twitter)

DEARNE VALLEY – Bolton Ings (SE4302) – 4 (1j) Mute Swan, 2 Little Grebe, 5(2j) Great Crested Grebe, 2 Mallard, 4 Gadwall, 5 Tufted Duck, 25 Cormorant, 2+ Grey Heron, 2 GREAT WHITE EGRET, 5 LBB Gull, 1 MARSH HARRIER, 1 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Grey Wagtail, 3 Jay (John Seevior per Twitter)

DEARNE VALLEY – Old Moor (SE4302) – 4 Shelduck, 70 Wigeon, 8 Cormorant, 2 GREAT WHITE EGRET into the roost at 19.10 (same as above). The GREY PHALAROPE was still on Wath at dusk. Also 1 SPOTTED CRAKE, 1 Water Rail, 1 Ringed Plover, c.350 Lapwing, 2 Greenshank, 1 RUFF, 3 Green Sandpiper, 4 Dunlin, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 97 Golden Plover, 2 Snipe, 2 Kingfisher, 1 MARSH HARRIER (same as above), 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 GS Woodpecker (Barnsley BSG, Kris Dutheridge and Chris Harris per Twitter and today’s RSPB-OLD MOOR-RECENT SIGHTINGS)

DON VALLEY – Silverwood Lagoon (SK4793) – 58 Canada Goose S; 6 Greylag Goose S; 1 Shoveler; 2 Gadwall; 6 Little Grebe; 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull; 3 Pied Wagtail; 2 STONECHAT; 3 Jackdaw N; c.25 Skylark S; 6 Jay; 4 Stock Dove; 1s Chiffchaff; 1 Cormorant departed west (Per today’s SHEFFIELD BIRD STUDY GROUP-RECENT NEWS)

HARWORTH PIT TOP (Notts) – Vismig+ – 0830-1130hrs – 155 Pink-footed Geese NW in three skeins; 8 Cormorant (2N+6S); 11 Buzzard (5S); 1 Sparrowhawk over Bawtry Forest; 16 Skylark S/SW; 5 Kestrel, 1 HOBBY E, 1 SHORT-EARED OWL, 21 House Martin S; 3 Swallow S; 1 Grey Wagtail S; 40 Meadow Pipit S; 3 Siskin SW, 1 Redpoll S; 1 Yellowhammer NE (Chris Robinson). POTTERIC CARR (SE5999, SE6099, SE5900 and SE6000) – 15 Wigeon, 2 PINTAIL, 3 Little Egret, 3 MARSH HARRIER, 2 Buzzard, 3 HOBBY, 2 Water Rail, c.250 Lapwing, 11 Black-tailed Godwit, 10 Snipe, 1 Kingfisher, 3 Jay, 2 Coal Tit, 7 Swallow south; 4s CETTI’S WARBLER; 1c Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 1 Pied Wagtail (Sue Bird, Dave Carroll, Vernon Barker, visitor reports).
