DEARNE VALLEY – Old Moor (SE4302) – 2 Mute Swan, 2 Grey Heron, 1j/m Sparrowhawk, 1 GREY PHALAROPE, 6 Dunlin, 4 Green Sandpiper, 7 Black Tailed Godwit, 1 SPOTTED REDSHANK, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 1 Ringed Plover, 388 Golden Plover (Gerald Lax per Twitter and today’s RSPB-OLD MOOR-RECENT SIGHTINGS)
DON VALLEY – Sprotbrough Flash (SE5300F) – 29 Wigeon (Pete Munro)

LOCAL – Weather: overcast with some rain until 0600hrs; then brighter with some sunshine and scattered cloud thereafter. Visibility: excellent throughout. Temperatures: +19.0°C to 18.3°C to 24.9°C to 20.?°C. Wind: 17mph-29mph gusting from 31-45mph S until 1100hrs; then 24mph to 28mph but gusting from 48mph to 39mph SSW thereafter. Surface pressure: 1006hPa-1007hPa-1002hPa-100?hPa. Fronts etc.: none over the District but a pair of closely associated and parallel mixed NE/SW fronts were lying across the country to the west of the District throughout the day..
