DEARNE VALLEY – Adwick Washlands (SE4602) – All pools mostly iced over. Best. 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 GS Woodpecker, 3 Grey Partridge, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Lapwing, 5 Snipe, 3 Shelduck, 3 Goosander, 2 Shoveler, 180 Wigeon, 60 Teal, 14 Gadwall, 5 Herring Gull (Gary Stones per Twitter)

DEARNE VALLEY – Bolton Ings (SE4302) – 2 Mute Swan, 63 Tufted Duck, 5 Goosander, 3 Pochard, 2 Mallard, 1 Little Grebe, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 8 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 301 Coot, 1 Moorhen, 8 Common Gull, 1 BH Gull and 1 Herring Gull, 1 Jay, 10+ Redwing, 1 Green Woodpecker and 40+ Redpoll (Alan Whitehouse and John Seevior per today’s BARNSLEY BIRD SIGHTINGS and John Seevior per Twitter)

DEARNE VALLEY – Broomhill Flash – 3j Mute Swan, 200+ Greylag, 17 Canada Geese, 6 Pink Footed Geese, 1 TUNDRA BEAN GOOSE, 37 Teal, 35 Shoveler, 14 Tufted Duck, 8 Mallard, 8 Wigeon, 5 Cormorant, 3 Coot, 1 Moorhen, 31 Lapwing, 4 Dunlin, 1 Golden Plover, 57 BH Gull, 1 LBB Gull, 1 Common Gull and 20+ Redwing (Alan Whitehouse per today’s BARNSLEY BIRD SIGHTINGS)

DEARNE VALLEY – Wombwell Ings – 56 Lapwing, 1 Golden Plover, 74 BH Gull and 1 Common Gull. On the corner pond were 1 Shelduck, 4 Mallard, 1 Gadwall and 1 Coot. 12 Canada Geese were in the back field. Along the Bulling Dyke were 7 Mallard, 7 Moorhen, 20+ Redwing and 1 Reed Bunting. The TUNDRA BEAN GOOSE and 6 Pink Footed Geese continued to associate with the 200+ Greylag in the field to the north east of the R. Dearne Bridge ( apart from a 20 minute break at 10am on Broomhill Flash ). A Treecreeper was seen in Broomhill Park ( K. Fisher). (Alan Whitehouse per today’s BARNSLEY BIRD SIGHTINGS)

DONCASTER LAKESIDE – 1 (1cy) Yellow-legged Gull and 1 (1cy) CASPIAN GULL (Dan Langston)

DON VALLEY – Sprotbrough Flash (SE5300F) – 2 BITTERN, 2 Kingfisher, 4 Snipe and Water Rail, lots of Redwing and Goldcrest on the TPT path (Martin Roper per Twitter)
