DEARNE VALLEY – Bolton Ings (SE4302) – 4+5j Mute Swan, 13 Greylag, 4 Canada Geese, 14 Tufted Duck, 5m+1f Pochard, 5 Gadwall, 5 Mallard, 4+2y Great Crested Grebe, 1 Little Grebe, 2 Cormorant, 57+14j Coot and 1 LBB Gull. Also present were 3 Grey Heron, 2 Little Egret over east, 2 Buzzard and 1 Kingfisher (Alan Whitehouse per today’s BARNSLEY BIRD SIGHTINGS)

HUMBERHEAD PEATLANDS – Hatfield Moors area (SE7106D & SE6905X) – 2 Shelduck, 2a+2chick EGYPTIAN GEESE, a new breeding species for the Doncaster District; 1 Little Egret, 1 OSPREY, 8 Reed Warbler (Mark Smedley and John Robinson). For further detail see today’s HATFIELD MOORS BIRDING BLOG.

TICKHILL – Water Lane – 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 5 Whitethroat, 4 Blackcap, 5 Chiffchaff, 2 Willow Warbler, 3 Skylark, 1 Yellowhammer, 1 Reed Bunting (Andy Bell)

WENT VALLEY – Southfield Res (SE6519) – 1 OSPREY came in for a fish at both 0800hrs and 0850hrs (Adrian Scutt)
