DON VALLEY – Silverwood Pit Top – 1 Kestrel an injured bird taken into care (Per today’s SHEFFIELD BIRD STUDY GROUP-RECENT SIGHTINGS)

POTTERIC CARR (SE5999, SE6099, SE5900 and SE6000) – 2 Shelduck, 2 BITTERN, 3 Little Egret, 3 Grey Heron, 1m MARSH HARRIER, 2 HOBBY, 2 Water Rail, 3 AVOCET, 2a+2j Oystercatcher, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 1 Redshank, 11 COMMON TERN – 2 on regular feeding flights from the iPort and 9 dropped in ahead of rain, landed on cell 1b before departing east at 9.15am; 4 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 sub/a Yellow-legged Gull, 4 Herring Gull, 1 (2cy) Great Black-backed Gull, 90 Swift, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2m+1f+3j BEARDED TIT, 1fam/par CETTI’S WARBLER, 1a+1j Pied Wagtail, (Richard Scott, Michael Bird, Gary Dyson, visitor reports).
